Who we are

Book53 is an appointment-booking service operated by Flare53. Operator: [Legal operator name and registration - to be supplied by the owner before launch]

Two roles

When you book with a business, that business decides how your booking details are used (it is the controller) and Book53 processes them on its behalf. For merchant accounts and billing, Flare53 is responsible for the data.

What we collect from customers

Name, phone number, optional email, the booking details and an optional short note. We don't ask for IC numbers, birth dates or health information. Marketing permission is separate, optional and off by default.

Why

To make, change and remind you about bookings, to let the business contact you about them, to keep the service secure and to meet legal duties.

Where data is stored

Proposed: Amazon Web Services in Singapore (ap-southeast-1), with email sent through Amazon SES. Cross-border transfer safeguards will be confirmed in the approved notice.

How long we keep it (proposal)

Customer booking data: 24 months after the last appointment. Security logs: 30 days. Audit records: 12 months. Exports: 24 hours. Final periods need owner and legal approval.

Your choices

You can ask the business for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion. You can also use our data request page.
