Accounts & getting started
Do my customers need an account?
No. Customers book with their name and phone number, and an email if they want confirmations by email. They manage the booking from a private link.
How do I sign up?
Create a Book53 account and confirm your email with the code we send. Then create your business, add services and hours, and publish your booking link.
Can someone at Flare53 set it up with me?
Yes. We can create a draft business for you and send an invitation to your email. You accept it and finish the details yourself. We never create passwords for you.
Do I need to add staff if I work alone?
No. You can book yourself as the only team member.
Booking rules
Can I have breaks, split shifts or late-night hours?
Yes. Each day can have several opening periods, and hours can run past midnight. Each team member has their own hours, days off and time off.
How do public holidays work?
You add the dates that matter to your shop - national or state holidays, or your own closures. We don't guess a holiday calendar for you.
Can two customers book the same time?
Not with the same team member. Every booking is checked again on our server at the moment it is confirmed, so overlapping bookings are refused.
How do cancellations and rescheduling work?
Customers can cancel or move their booking from their private link until the deadline you set (12 hours before by default). After that they contact you.
Can I book group classes?
Not yet. Release 1 is for individual appointments: one customer, one service and one team member at a time. Group classes are planned.
WhatsApp & notifications
Does Book53 send WhatsApp messages?
No. We show WhatsApp buttons that open your own WhatsApp with a message ready - a person presses send. Automatic WhatsApp messages need Meta approval and are planned for later.
Do I need SSM registration to use the WhatsApp button?
Not for the button - it simply opens a normal chat. Your own business registration duties are separate and depend on your business.
What emails are sent?
Booking confirmation, change and cancellation emails, and one reminder (24 hours before by default) - only when the customer gave an email address. You get an alert for new, changed and cancelled bookings.
What if an email fails?
The booking is still saved. You can see the email status on the appointment and retry it. Email providers can't confirm that someone read a message.
Payments & plans
Can customers pay online or leave a deposit?
Not in release 1. Prices are shown so customers know what to expect, and they pay you at the shop. Online deposits are planned.
How do I pay for Book53?
During the pilot, plans are activated manually by Flare53 after we agree the terms with you. There is no card form in the app and no automatic charge.
What happens if my plan expires?
You keep your data and can still manage existing appointments and export everything. New bookings pause until the plan is renewed. Nothing is deleted because a payment is late.
Does cancelling a booking give back my monthly allowance?
No - the allowance counts new bookings made in the month. Moving a booking to another time does not use another one.
Language, phones & data
Is Book53 in Bahasa Melayu?
Yes. The website, booking pages, dashboards and emails are in Bahasa Melayu and English. The secure sign-in screens from our login provider are in English.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Booking pages and the daily agenda are designed for phones first.
Who owns the customer information?
Your business does. Book53 processes it for you to run bookings. You can export or delete a customer's data, and export or close your whole account.
Where is data stored?
The proposed set-up uses Amazon Web Services in Singapore. This is still subject to the owner's final approval and will be stated in the approved privacy notice.
Ready when your customers are.
Set up your services and hours, share one link, and let bookings arrive in a calendar you can trust.
